Understanding GST Calculation
The Goods and Services Tax (GST) is an indirect tax used in India on the supply of goods and services. Our calculator helps you with two primary scenarios:
- GST Exclusive (Add GST): When you have a base price and you need to add the GST amount to find the final price.
- GST Inclusive (Extract GST): When you have a final price (MRP) that already includes GST, and you need to find out the original base price and the GST component.
Example Calculation (Exclusive)
If a product's base price is ₹1,000 and the GST rate is 18%:
GST Amount = ₹1,000 * 18% = ₹180
Total Price = ₹1,000 + ₹180 = ₹1,180
